A HomeGroup is a group of PCs on a home network that can share files and printers. The HomeGroup feature was introduced in Windows 7 to make it easier to share pictures, music, videos, documents, and printers with others at home.

The HomeGroup feature was deprecated in Windows 10 in favor of other built-in features with the same functionality. HomeGroup support was removed as of build 1803. Once a Windows 10 PC is updated to version 1803 or later, HomeGroup will no longer appear in File Explorer as well as the Troubleshoot screen in Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot
