Minecraft: Xbox One Edition is the Xbox One version of Minecraft, developed by Mojang Studios and 4J Studios and published by Xbox Game Studios.
Releases
It was first announced at Microsoft's press conference at E3 2013 on June 10, 2013. The game was available for purchase on the Microsoft Store on September 5, 2014. A retail disc version was released on November 18, 2014.[citation needed]
Discontinuation
The last release of this version of the game was CU59, released on April 9, 2024. Although this edition of the game has since been discontinued and will not receive new updates or features,[citation needed] it is playable on the Xbox Series X/S via backward compatibility.
